Beschrijving
Although not quite a misnomer, these peppers (as all C. Baccatum) are originally native to countries like Peru and Bolivia. While it was later introduced to and cultivated in Nepal (hence its common name), it shares its genetic lineage with other Bishop’s Crown type peppers from the South American highlands.
Large plants can reach 4′ – 5′ tall and produce lovely wing-shaped pods that ripen from green to red.
These will be sweeter at the tips of the wings and have more heat towards the center.
