Descripción
Known as Naranjilla in Ecuador, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, and Panama; also known as Lulo in Colombia – these plants are native to the Andrean regions of Preu, Ecuador and Columbia.
A perennial if brought indoors for the winter (our plants are currently over four years old!), these are a truly unique plant to grow! Fuzzy, spiked leaves stems and fruit. When cut open they resemble a tomato, but the skin is tougher and the taste is also slightly umami but very brightly acidic and with a lot of citrus flavor – hence the name “Little Orange”!
